November 2, 2011 – ISRAEL – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to rally support in his cabinet for an attack on Iran, according to government sources. The country’s defense minister Ehud Barak and the foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman are said to be among those backing a pre-emptive strike to neutralize Iran’s nuclear ambitions. But a narrow majority of ministers currently oppose the move, which could trigger a wave of regional retaliation. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is due to report on the state of Iran’s nuclear capabilities on November 8, and that assessment is likely to influence Israel’s decision. Western intelligence officials estimate that Iran is still at least two to three years away from obtaining a nuclear bomb. Israel has long made it clear that it will not allow Iran to obtain a nuclear capability that could threaten the Jewish State. Publicly it is pushing for a diplomatic offensive against Iran – including the imposition of sanctions – rather than a military strike. But Prime Minister Netanyahu has repeatedly warned that all options are on the table. Israel’s former defense minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer told Haraatez newspaper that he feared a “horror scenario” if Israel attacked Iran. Washington is also strongly opposed to Israel taking unilateral action. Any strike on Iran could trigger retaliation from Iran and across the region. Syria, a close ally of Tehran, could also launch attacks, along with the Iranian-backed Hizbollah militia in Lebanon. –Sky News

Middle East moving closer to war: A report by the UN’s nuclear watchdog due to be circulated around the world next week will provide fresh evidence of a possible Iranian nuclear weapons program, bringing the Middle East a step closer to a devastating new conflict, say diplomats. The report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is the latest of a series of quarterly bulletins on Iran’s activities, but this one will contain an unprecedented level of detail on research and experiments carried out in Iran in recent years, which western officials allege could only be for the design and development of a nuclear warhead. “This will be a game-changer in the Iranian nuclear dossier,” a western official predicted. “It is going to be hard for even Moscow or Beijing to downplay its significance.” The key passage of the “safeguards report” will be a summary of all the evidence collected over the years by UN weapons inspectors, including a substantial amount of hitherto unpublished data pointing to work in the past seven years. –Guardian UK

2/11/11 - Tension: India to increase buildup of troops on border with China

November 2, 2011 – New Delhi, INDIA - Against the backdrop of Chinese military build-up along its boundary with India, the Army has proposed an increase in its strength by around one lakh and raising a new mountain strike corps along with other new formations in the Northeast. “We have proposed to increase our strength by another 90,000 to one lakh troops and that has been cleared by the Defence Ministry. The proposal is at present awaiting clearance from the Finance Ministry,” army sources said here. Army`s present strength is more than 11 lakh troops including over 35,000 officers. They said the increase in the number of troops will be done in a phased manner over a period of more than five to six years. Asked about the expansion plan, Minister of State for Defence M M Pallam Raju said, “We are keen on securing borders and we will take steps to do so. Wherever we feel there is a threat, adequate measures will be taken.” Asked about reports that China could do a Kargil on India, he said, “There is nothing to be particularly alarmed about the Chinese border.” He was talking to reporters at a function in Manekshaw Centre here. Under the Army proposal, which is likely to cost over Rs 60,000 crore, the Army has sought Government`s sanction for raising a mountain strike corps and four mountain divisions. The Army is also planning to deploy two independent armoured brigades in Uttarakhand and Ladakh. Once cleared, the proposal would be put up before the Cabinet Committee on Security for approval and financial sanction. –News24

30/10/11 - Netanyahu to Gaza militants: Israel's policy is kill or be killed

Premier says Israel not interested in deterioration along border, but will defend its citizens firmly, aggressively and effectively.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that Israel had no choice but to retaliate when faced with attack, and would stop "every attempt to fire against Israel and anyone who fires anyway".

Netanyahu told ministers gathered for a special cabinet session in Safed that Israel's defense policy was based on two principles: "Kill or be killed" and "He who harms you should bear the blood on his head".

"I suggest Hamas, Jihad and the other organizations not test our determination to actualize the two principles I have described here," said Netanyahu. "We will harm every attempt to fire against Israel and anyone who fires anyway. We are not tempestuous and we do not want things to deteriorate, but we will defend Israel's citizens determinedly, aggressively and effectively."

Netanyahu made his remarks shortly after Islamic Jihad said it would accept an Egyptian-mediated ceasefire if Israel agreed to halt its "aggression" against Gaza.

Just a few hours later, the Israel Air Force struck a militant cell apparently poised to launch rockets at Israel. One militant was killed in that attack, said Palestinians.

Nine other Palestinian gunmen and an Israeli civilian have been killed since the cross-border violence resumed last week.

1968 PROPHECY from 90-YEAR-OLD WOMAN in NORWAY

An old woman of 90 from Valdres in Norway had a vision from God in 1968. The evangelist Emanuel Minos had meetings (services) where she lived. He had the opportunity to meet her, and she told him what she had seen. He wrote it down, but thought it to be so unbelievable that he put it in a drawer. After 30 years, he understood he had to share the vision with others. (That would have been around 1998.)

The woman from Valdres was a very alert, reliable, awake and credible Christian, with a good reputation among all who knew her. This is what she saw:

"I saw the time just before the coming of Jesus and the outbreak of the Third World War. I saw the events with my natural eyes. I saw the world like a kind of a globe and saw Europe, land by land. I saw Scandinavia. I saw Norway. I saw certain things that would take place just before the return of Jesus, and just before the last calamity happens, a calamity the likes of which we have never before experienced.

She mentioned four waves:

1. "First before Jesus comes and before the Third World War breaks out there will be a ‘détente’ like we have never had before. There will be peace between the super powers in the east and the west, and there will be a long peace. [Remember, that this was in 1968 when the cold war was at its highest. -E. Minos]. In this period of peace there will be disarmament in many countries, also in Norway and we are not prepared when it (the war) comes. The Third World War will begin in a way no one would have anticipated - and from an unexpected place.

2. "A lukewarmness without parallel will take hold of the Christians, a falling away from true, living Christianity. Christians will not be open for penetrating preaching. They will not, like in earlier times, want to hear of sin and grace, law and gospel, repentance and restoration. There will come a substitute instead: prosperity (happiness) Christianity.

"The important thing will be to have success, to be something; to have material things, things that God never promised us in this way. Churches and prayer houses will be emptier and emptier. Instead of the preaching we have been used to for generations -like, to take your cross up and follow Jesus, - entertainment, art and culture will invade the churches where there should have been gatherings for repentance and revival. This will increase markedly just before the return of Jesus.

3. "There will be a moral disintegration that old Norway has never experienced the likes of. People will live together like married without being married. [I do not believe the concept ‘co-habitor’ existed in 1968 - E. Minos.] Much uncleanness before marriage, and much infidelity in marriage will become the natural (the common), and it will be justified from every angle. It will even enter Christian circles and we pet it - even sin against nature. Just before Jesus returns there will be TV- programs like we have never experienced. [TV had just arrived in Norway in 1968. -E. Minos]

"TV will be filled with such horrible violence that it teaches people to murder and destroy each other, and it will be unsafe in our streets. People will copy what they see. There will not be only one ‘station’ on TV, it will be filled with ‘stations.’ [She did not know the word ‘channel’ which we use today. Therefore she called them stations. -E. Minos.] TV will be just like the radio where we have many ‘stations,’ and it will be filled with violence. People will use it for entertainment. We will see terrible scenes of murder and destruction one of the other, and this will spread in society. Sex scenes will also be shown on the screen, the most intimate things that take place in a marriage." [I protested and said, we have a paragraph that forbids this kind of thing. -E. Minos.] There the old woman said: "It will happen, and you will see it. All we have had before will be broken down, and the most indecent things will pass before our eyes."

4. "People from poor countries will stream to Europe. [In 1968 there was no such thing as immigration. -E. Minos.] They will also come to Scandinavia - and Norway. There will be so many of them that people will begin to dislike them and become hard with them. They will be treated like the Jews before the Second World War. Then the full measure of our sins will have been reached [I protested at the issue of immigration. I did not understand it at the time. -E. Minos.]

The tears streamed from the old woman’s eyes down her cheeks. "I will not see it, but you will. Then suddenly, Jesus will come and the Third World War breaks out. It will be a short war." (She saw it in the vision.)

"All that I have seen of war before is only child’s play compared to this one, and it will be ended with a nuclear atom bomb. The air will be so polluted that one cannot draw one’s breath. It will cover several continents, America, Japan, Australia and the wealthy nations. The water will be ruined (contaminated?). We can no longer till the soil. The result will be that only a remnant will remain. The remnant in the wealthy countries will try to flee to the poor countries, but they will be as hard on us as we were on them.

"I am so glad that I will not see it, but when the time draws near, you must take courage and tell this. I have received it from God, and nothing of it goes against what the Bible tells.

"The one who has his sin forgiven and has Jesus as Savior and Lord, is safe."

20/10/11 - Muammar Qaddafi Killed, Libya's Prime Minister Confirms

Libyan strongman Muammar Qaddafi is dead, Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril has confirmed.

"We have been waiting for this moment for a long time. Muammar Qaddafi has been killed," Jibril told a news conference in the capital Tripoli.

Qaddafi died of wounds suffered during his capture near his hometown of Sirte on Thursday, according to a spokesman for Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC).

"Qaddafi is dead. He is absolutely dead ... he was shot in both legs and in the head. The body will be arriving in Misrata soon," media spokesman Abdullah Berrassali told Sky News.

President Barack Obama said Qaddafi's death marked the end of a "long and painful chapter" for the people of Libya.

"You have won your revolution," Obama said during an afternoon briefing in Washington, adding that the U.S. and its allies stopped Qaddafi's "forces in their tracks."

Earlier, a man who claimed to have witnessed the attack told the Associated Press Television News that he struck Qaddafi with his shoes after he was shot. Footage aired on Al-Jazeera television showed Qaddafi was captured wounded, but alive, in Sirte.

The goateed, balding Qaddafi, in a bloodsoaked shirt and his face bloodied, is seen standing upright being pushed along by fighters, and he appears to struggle against them, stumbling and shouting. The fighters push him onto the hood of a pickup truck, before dragging him away, apparently toward an ambulance.

Later footage showed fighters rolling Qaddafi's body over on the pavement, stripped to the waist and his head bloody.

Information Minister Mahmoud Shammam said he has confirmed that Qaddafi was dead from fighters who said they saw the body.

"Our people in Sirte saw the body ... Mustafa Abdul-Jalil will confirm it soon," he told The Associated Press. "Revolutionaries say Qaddafi was in a convoy and that they attacked the convoy."

Col. Roland Lavoie, spokesman for NATO's operational headquarters in Naples, Italy, said the alliance's aircraft Thursday morning struck two vehicles of pro-Qaddafi forces "which were part of a larger group maneuvering in the vicinity of Sirte."

"These armed vehicles were conducting military operations and presented a clear threat to civilians," Lavoie said in a statement.

A commander of the new regime forces told AFP one of Qaddafi's sons, Mo'Tassim Qaddafi, was also killed Thursday.

"We found him dead. We put his body and that of [former defense minister] Abu Bakr Yunis in an ambulance to take them to Misrata," Mohamed Leith said.

Seif al-Islam, Qaddafi's son and one-time heir apparent, was also captured wounded by revolutionary fighters and is in a hospital, according to Liby'a justice minister. Mohammad al-Alagi said Thursday he was shot in the leg.

Celebratory gunfire and cries of "Allahu Akbar" or "God is Great" rang out across Tripoli as the reports spread. Cars honked their horns and people hugged each other. In Sirte, the ecstatic former rebels celebrated the city's fall after weeks of bloody siege by firing endless rounds into the sky, pumping their guns, knives and even a meat cleaver in the air and singing the national anthem.

Despite the fall of Tripoli on Aug. 21, Qaddafi loyalists mounted fierce resistance in several areas, including Sirte, preventing Libya's new leaders from declaring full victory in the eight-month civil war. This week, revolutionary fighters gained control of one stronghold, Bani Walid, and by Tuesday said they had squeezed Qaddafi forces in Sirte into a residential area of about 700 square yards but were still coming under heavy fire from surrounding buildings.

Reporters at the scene watched as the final assault began around 8 a.m. and ended about 90 minutes later. Just before the battle, about five carloads of Qaddafi loyalists tried to flee the enclave down the coastal highway that leads out of the city. But they were met by gunfire from the revolutionaries, who killed at least 20 of them.

Sirte -- Qaddafi's hometown and the last bastion of his supporters -- was the last holdout against NTC forces. The town's capture, which both military officials and new regime political sources said was expected later Thursday, would pave the way for the NTC to officially take control of Libya and move its headquarters away from its Benghazi stronghold in the east to the capital, Tripoli.

Libyan fighters captured Sirte Thursday, two months after the fall of Tripoli.

Prior to independent confirmation of Qaddafi's death, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said, if true, would be a "big sigh of relief."

"One more obstacle removed, but we still have a steep climb ahead," Clinton told Fox News White House correspondent Wendell Goler, who is traveling with her in Pakistan.

U.S. Senator John McCain, R-Ariz., said the death of Qaddafi "marks an end to the first phase" of the Libyan revolution.

"While some final fighting continues, the Libyan people have liberated their country," the statement read. "Now the Libyan people can focus all of their immense talents on strengthening their national unity, rebuilding their country and economy, proceeding with their democratic transition, and safeguarding the dignity and human rights of all Libyans. The United States, along with our European allies and Arab partners, must now deepen our support for the Libyan people, as they work to make the next phase of their democratic revolution as successful as the fight to free their country."

Britain's jets and helicopters backed the rebels during the NATO campaign, and the government on Thursday promised assistance to Libya's new leaders.

"Today is a day to remember all of Qaddafi's victims," British Prime Minister David Cameron said, referring to those in Libya and also the 270 people -- mainly British and American -- killed in the 1988 Pan Am bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland.

The only person charged in the bombing, former Libyan intelligence officer Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, was freed from a Scottish prison on compassionate grounds in 2009 because of illness. He remains alive and in Libya.

Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman John Kerry, D-Mass., said Qaddafi's death marks "the promise of a new" Libya.

"The United States demonstrated clear-eyed leadership, patience, and foresight by pushing the international community into action after Qaddafi promised a massacre," the Massachusetts senator said in a statement. "Though the Administration was criticized both for moving too quickly and for not moving quickly enough, it is undeniable that the NATO campaign prevented a massacre and contributed mightily to Qaddafi’s undoing without deploying boots on the ground or suffering a single American fatality. This is a victory for multilateralism and successful coalition-building in defiance of those who derided NATO and predicted a very different outcome."

2/10/11 - Groundswell: economic and ethnic tensions spark wave of protests across the globe

October 2, 2011 – ATHENS – Greece was expected to unveil its plan on Sunday to begin laying off state workers, the most contentious part of a reform package demanded by the EU and IMF to free up loans and stave off bankruptcy. Without the release of an 8 billion euro ($10.7 billion)tranche of an EU bailout, massively indebted Greece could run out of money to pay state wage bills within weeks. European officials are scrambling to avert a Greek debt default, which could wreck the balance sheets of European banks, damage the prospects of the euro single currency and possibly plunge the world into a new global financial crisis. A senior member of the ruling coalition in Germany, Europe’s paymaster, said it may be necessary for Greece to abandon the euro, a prospect European governments officially reject as beyond consideration. Negotiators from the International Monetary Fund, European Union and European Central Bank, known as the troika, have returned to Athens after walking out of talks a month ago, and have met Greek officials for the past four days. To persuade the troika to release the loans, the government has promised to introduce new taxes, cut state wages by an average of 20 percent and reduce the number of public sector workers by a fifth by 2015. The austerity measures are deeply unpopular, and public sector unions hope that strikes and demonstrations can wreck the Socialist government’s resolve to enact them. No part of the package is more contentious than the plan to lay off state workers — who make up a fifth of the Greek workforce and are guaranteed jobs for life under a constitution that bans firing government employees in virtually all circumstances. The cabinet was due to meet on Sunday evening to discuss a plan to begin layoffs by setting up a “labor reserve.” Under the plan, 30,000 workers would be put in the reserve by the end of this year and paid 60 percent of their salaries for a year, after which they would be dismissed. The government has yet to announce how the program would work, including details such as whether it would be used to push out younger workers or only to accelerate the retirement of workers already reaching pension age. New York - Police reopened the Brooklyn Bridge Saturday evening after more than 700 anti-Wall Street protesters were arrested for blocking traffic lanes and attempting an unauthorized march across the span. The arrests took place when a large group of marchers, participating in a second week of protests by the Occupy Wall Street movement, broke off from others on the bridge’s pedestrian walkway and headed across the Brooklyn-bound lanes. “Over 700 summonses and desk appearance tickets have been issued in connection with a demonstration on the Brooklyn Bridge late this afternoon after multiple warnings by police were given to protesters to stay on the pedestrian walkway, and that if they took roadway they would be arrested,” a police spokesman said. “Some complied and took the walkway without being arrested. Others proceeded on the Brooklyn-bound vehicular roadway and were. The bridge was re-opened to traffic at 8:05 p.m. (0005 GMT Sunday).” Most of those who were arrested were taken into custody off the bridge, issued summonses and released. Witnesses described a chaotic scene on the famous. -Reuters

Portugal - Thousands demonstrated in Portugal Saturday against the government’s austerity measures amid projections that the economic situation is far worse than expected. Government and private sector workers rallied in Lisbon and Porto, following a call by the country’s largest trade union federation to speak out against policies it says have devastated “jobs, workers, pensions and social rights.” “No to price rises” and “No to the destruction of health care”, read banners hoisted by demonstrators marching through central Lisbon. Rally organizers, who said they had charted dozens of buses to transport protestors from around the country, did not immediately provide an estimate of the turnout. In April, Portugal became the third eurozone country after Greece and Ireland to request an emergency bailout from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund to deal with its mountain of debt. –France 24

Bulgaria – The Bulgarian president says the National Security Council is holding an emergency meeting to discuss rising ethnic tensions as nationalist groups stage anti-Roma rallies across the country. According to a statement from Georgi Parvanov’s office on Saturday, the council is scheduled to shape “emergency measures to guarantee law and order in the country and prevent and counter ethnic tensions.” Riots erupted last weekend in the southern village of Katunitsa after a 19-year-old man was run over and killed by a minibus driven by a man linked to a local leader of the Roma, also known as Gypsies. Villagers hurled stones and firebombs at Roma leader’s house, demanding he and his family be expelled. –Las Vegas Sun

Israel - Approximately 2,000 Israeli Arabs, including members of Knesset and other top officials, participated in marches in the northern town of Sakhnin on Saturday to commemorate the October 2000 riots. The demonstrators waved Palestinian flags, chanted slogans decrying Israel, and held up photos of the 13 Israeli Arab protesters who were killed in clashes with Israeli police forces 11 years ago, at the start of the Second Intifada. Saturday’s demonstrators also called for the indictment of the policemen whom they claim were responsible for the killings. –The Haaretz

Bolivia — Bolivian natives angry over plans to build a highway through an Amazon nature preserve resumed their protest march Saturday after a violent police crackdown a week ago, a top demo leader said. The march began at daybreak in the town of Quiquibey, some 300 kilometers (186 miles) northeast of La Paz, protest leader Rafael Quispe told AFP. Quispe said that the hundreds of protesters were moving toward the capital at a speed of around 20 kilometers (12 miles) a day. Bolivian authorities have been trying to tamp down the uproar that erupted when riot police fired tear gas and arrested hundreds of activists who had been marching for a month on September 25. Bolivia’s defense minister Cecilia Chacona resigned over the incident, followed by interior minister Sacha Llorenti. Migration chief Maria Rene Quiroga has also stepped down, calling the crackdown “unforgivable.” -AFP

Protesters training to incite violence, resist arrest, disrupt the legal system

"We are legion."
"Take to the streets."
These and other battle cries were posted on the recent Twitter feed of a group calling itself Take The Square. The organization is one of the social media planners behind the "Day of Rage" protest slated to target Wall Street on Saturday.
WND previously reported how the U.S. section of the protest, complete with a planned tent city in downtown Manhattan, is closely tied to the founders of ACORN and leaders of major U.S. unions, including the Service Employees International Union, or SEIU.
Here's the rundown on Obama's ties to "communists, socialists and other anti-American extremists" – all in "The Manchurian President."

While protest leaders claim they are non-violent, there are indications the protesters are training to incite violence, resist arrest and disrupt the legal system.
The protest aims to take root nationwide.
Activists are advertising on social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter for a "Day of Rage" on Sept. 17 to begin with the "occupation" of Wall Street and continue with protests across the nation.
Planners have their own website – USDayofRage.org – which tells protesters to "bring your own tent."
The website is not specific about the purpose of the "Day of Rage" other than calling for "integrity" to be "restored to our elections."
The site accuses corporations of using "money to act as the voices of millions, while individual citizens, the legitimate voters, are silenced and demoralized by the farce."
Advertisements claim the protests at Wall Street and nationwide will be "non-violent." However, the official website provides resources, including videos and detailed written instructions, for protesters to engage in "civil disobedience."
The resources provided include instructions on how to resist police arrest and disrupt court hearings.
This week, the 'Day of Rage' twitter feed posted links to what it called "nonviolent civil disobedience training talks."

Similar instructions are provided on the website of an affiliated organization, which calls itself "Occupy Wall Street" and is also involved in planning the Sept. 17 protests.
The use of the term "Day of Rage" recalls the "Days of Rage" organized in the 1960s by the Weather Underground domestic terrorist organization co-founded by Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, close associates for years of President Obama.
Numerous radicals, many with direct ties to Obama, are linked to planned protests and other activism scheduled for the coming months.

In March, ACORN founder Wade Rathke announced what he called "days of rage in 10 cities around JP Morgan Chase." Rathke was president of an SEIU local in New Orleans.
The planned Sept. 17 protest appears to be the culmination of Rathke's efforts.
Those efforts are being organized by Stephen Lerner, an SEIU board member who reportedly visited the Obama White House at least four times.
Lerner is considered one of the most capable organizers of the radical left. He recently organized the SEIU's so-called Justice for Janitors campaign.
As part of his planned protests, Lerner called for "a week of civil disobedience, direct action all over the city."
His stated aim is to "destabilize the folks that are in power and start to rebuild a movement."
In an interview about the planned protests, Lerner outlined his goals: "How do we bring down the stock market? How do we bring down their bonuses? How do we interfere with their ability to, to be rich?"

Forecast for American cities: Confrontation, intimidation?

There are other indications a coalition of radicals and unions are planning chaos using the current economic crisis.
Last month, WND reported that a slew of extremist organizations, some tied to Obama, are preparing protests to coincide with major NATO and G-8 summits in Chicago next May.
Foreshadowing possible violent confrontations, some of the same radical trainers behind the infamous 1999 Seattle riots against the World Trade Organization have been mobilizing new protest efforts geared toward world summits as well as the current economic crisis.
Some of the activists are tied to Obama.
The NATO and G-8 summits are not the only focus of radical groups.
WND reported Heather Booth, director of a Saul Alinsky-style community organizing group, the Midwest Academy, was among the main speakers at the "2011 State Battles Summit" in June at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Booth's husband, Paul, also was a speaker at the union summit. Paul Booth co-founded Midwest Academy in the 1970s.

The four-day summit was organized by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, or AFSCME, with participation from the AFL-CIO, the nation's largest union.
An official schedule for the event, obtained by WND, declared: "Our union is under unprecedented attack in every state. Extremist politicians want to weaken us as we head into 2012. Their tactics include budget cuts, layoffs, privatization and the denial of our very collective bargaining rights."
Continued the flyer: "New challenges require new energy and new thinking. We encourage union activists to attend this conference and bring their creative ideas on how to overcome the challenges ahead."

Paul Booth delivered the opening remarks for the union conference.
Another speaker at the union event was John Podesta, who co-chaired President Obama's transition team.
Podesta is president of the Center for American Progress, which is heavily influential in advising the White House. The center is funded by billionaire activist George Soros.

Mideast revolutions coming to U.S.?

Citizen Action of Wisconsin, an arm of Booth's Midwest Academy, is part of the Moving Wisconsin Forward movement, one of the main organizers of the major Wisconsin protests in February, as WND was first to report.
The protests were in opposition to Gov. Scott Walker's proposal for most state workers to pay 12 percent of their health care premiums and 5.8 percent of their salary toward their own pensions.
WND reported at the time that speakers at the rallies likened the Wisconsin protests to the ongoing revolutions in the Middle East and North Africa while calling for similar uprisings in the U.S.

'Redistribution of wealth and power'

Obama himself once funded Midwest Academy. He has been closely tied to Heather Booth.
Booth has stated building a ''progressive majority'' would help for ''a fair distribution of wealth and power and opportunity."
Her husband Paul is a founder and the former national secretary of Students for a Democratic Society, the radical 1960s anti-war movement from which Ayers' Weather Underground splintered.
In 1999, the Booths' Midwest Academy received $75,000 from the Woods Fund with Obama on its board alongside Ayers, In 2002, with Obama still serving on the Woods Fund, Midwest received another $23,500 for its Young Organizers Development Program.
Midwest describes itself as "one of the nation's oldest and best-known schools for community organizations, citizen organizations and individuals committed to progressive social change."
It later morphed into a national organizing institute for an emerging network of organizations known as Citizen Action.
Discover the Networks describes Midwest as "teach[ing] tactics of direct action, confrontation and intimidation."
WND first reported the executive director of an activist organization that taught Alinsky's tactics of direct action, confrontation and intimidation was part of the team that developed volunteers for President Obama's 2008 campaign.
Jackie Kendall, executive director of the Midwest Academy, was on the team that developed and delivered the first Camp Obama training for volunteers aiding Obama's campaign through the 2008 Iowa Caucuses.
Camp Obama was a two-to-four day intensive course run in conjunction with Obama's campaign aimed at training volunteers to become activists to help Obama win the presidential election.
Also, in 1998, Obama participated on a panel discussion praising Alinsky alongside Heather Booth, herself a dedicated disciple of Alinsky.
The panel discussion following the opening performance in Chicago of the play "The Love Song of Saul Alinsky," a work described by the Chicago Sun-Times as "bringing to life one of America's greatest community organizers."
Obama participated in the discussion alongside other Alinskyites, including political analyst Aaron Freeman, Don Turner of the Chicago Federation of Labor and Northwestern University history professor Charles Paine.
"Alinsky had so much fire burning within," stated local actor Gary Houston, who portrayed Alinsky in the play. "There was a lot of complexity to him. Yet he was a really cool character."

The sobering details emerging from the rare and unexpected visit to Russia by Prime Minister David Cameron reveal that the British leader “warned” President Medvedev that the United States is “firmly intent” upon unleashing World War III and if not stopped warned the “time of end” has come to us all.
According to this report, Cameron’s fears of the US throwing the entire world into the abyss of global warfare were accelerated this past spring after Libya discovered that the Obama regime allowed the American megabank Goldman Sachs to loot nearly $1.3 billion of its sovereign wealth fund (estimated at $65 billion) which has since “lined the pockets” of these bankster criminals who have, likewise, destroyed the United States economy too.
In what they mistakenly believed would be a quick takedown of Libya’s government, Cameron continued, Obama ordered NATO air strikes upon this North African nation and allowed the CIA to rush thousands of Afghanistan terrorists to the region to topple Gaddafi in a war that has, so far, cost over 50,000 lives.
What the Obama regime didn’t count on, Cameron says, was Gaddafi escaping with over $10 billion of Libya’s gold reserves which the Libyan leader has used to finance at least one rebel group that has led to even more chaotic violence as these factions have now turned on each other in a bloody killing spree to see who will gain ultimate victory.
Cameron warns, however, that the worst aftermath of the Libyan War is yet to be realized as over 20,000 shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles belonging to the Gaddafi regime have been “dispersed”throughout the world and are currently “lying in wait” to unleash the worst terror attack in human history against the United States and its Western allies.
Even worse, Cameron asserted to Medvedev that the United States had “full knowledge” of these tens-of-thousands of Libyan anti-aircraft missiles flooding the world but refused all British and French Special Forces attempts to secure them as the Americans believe that only a global war of“historic proportions” is able to stop their nation from complete disintegration.
Cameron further warned Medvedev that Gaddafi has poured millions-of-dollars into his vast spy network in Egypt that has now been “activated” and is blamed for the catastrophic attack on Israel’s embassy in Cairo that caused the Israeli ambassador and his staff to flee that Middle Eastern country.
Worse still for the West, Cameron continues, is the “unstoppable rage” of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan over the Obama regimes toppling of Gaddafi who was one of the Turkish leaders“best friends” in the Middle East and who just this past December bestowed upon Erdoğan the Al-Gaddafi International Prize for Human Rights for his “distinguished service to humanity.”
Russian intelligence addendums to these reports state that Erdoğan’s “rage” against the Obama regime is behind his targeting Israel by halting all trade and defense ties to the Jewish state, ordering Turkey’s ambassador to leave Israel, warning of more sanctions to come, and threatening all out war on Cypress.
Israel’s response to Erdoğan’s “rage” was a threat to support the Kurdish rebels currently attacking Turkey and which drew a sharp rebuke from Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmed Davutoglu who warned the Jewish state, “No one will be able to blackmail us.”
As both Turkey and Iran are said to be in their 'final showdown' with Kurdish rebels operating out of Northern Iraq, it is important to note that Israeli forces have been working to help establish a separate Kurd state in an attempt to further fracture the Iraqi government to keep it from becoming more powerful than it is already growing.
Important to note is that all of the events now occurring in the Middle East that are pushing our world to the brink of all-out war has long been known about, and as evidenced in our 23 October 2007 report Turkey Requests ‘Urgent’ Iran Military Aid As Syria Warns To Prepare For Warwherein we warned of the United States “master plan” to redraw the entire borders of this region along what the Americans call “according to the situation of the ethnic minorities.”
This “master plan” to redraw the borders of the Middle East, according to the Armed Forces Journal, published in the United States, says that:
“The Kurds of Syria and Iran as well as Turkey “would rush to join an independent Kurdistan if they could” and the refusal by the world's legitimate democracies to champion Kurdish independence was a human-rights sin, Peters claimed.
Iraq would be divided into three smaller states as Sunni Iraq, an Arab-Shia State and Kurdistan. Jordan would retain its current territory, with some southward expansion at Saudi Arabia’s expense.
Saudi Arabia's coastal oil fields would be given to the Shia state to be established with the dissolution of Iraq and the southeastern quadrant would go to Yemen. Iran would lose a great deal of territory to Unified Azerbaijan, Free Kurdistan, the Arab Shia State and Free Baluchistan, but would gain the provinces around Herat in today's Afghanistan.
Following these changes, Iran would become an ethnic Persian state again. Kuwait would remain within its current borders, as would Oman.”
Unbeknownst to the American people about their governments plan to carve up the Middle East was that it was accidently revealed in 2006 when a map showing the “new countries” to be made by the West was seen by Turkish military officers during a meeting at NATO’s Defense College in Rome and has given all of countries to be affected nearly 5 years to prepare for what is happening today.
Though these people of the West are being fed propaganda leading them to believe that all of the events happening in the Middle East are due to oppressed people protesting for democracy they couldn’t be more mistaken as the truth is that all of the nations of this region have been preparing for years to “suddenly unite” in a massive war against the United States to throw off its oppressive yoke forever.
Most interesting to note about all of these events is how eerily they match the predictions of the Greek Orthodox seer known as Monk Joseph the Athonite Protector of the Greek Air Force who through his visions have warned:

- The Third World War will start with the conflict between Turkey and Greece.

- Jewish masons who are rulers over USA and European Union will force Turkish people into the war against Greece.

- In spite of Greek tremendous courage and resistance, Turkish attack will be devastating. Lots of Greeks and lots of their Russian and Serbian brothers in Christ who will volunteer to help Greeks will be dead.

- Turkey will charge deep inside Greece and will concur the most of the Greek territory.

- At the beginning, NATO and USA will not interfere into this conflict directly, but will give silent support for everything Turks do instead.

- The time will come that the world will think Greek people will vanish.

- A moment before it will be almost certain to happen, mighty Russia opens its cards in protection of Greek people and Orthodox Christianity. This takes everyone by surprise. Russian nukes are launched to Turkey.

- Darkness is covering Balkan peninsula and Near East. The World we know cease to exist again.

- At this point USA and EU join Turkey (or what's left of it) and declare global war against Russia and Greece.

- Vatican and the Holy Chair will announce Holy War against "schismatic" Orthodoxy.

- The war will be horrible. Burning people will fall from the sky.

- USA will suffer terrible defeat and will "blow up like balloon" (for whatever it means).

- Roman Catholic Church will never be able to return back to the positions it has today. Not even close. Its influence will be next to nothing

- Russians will enter Constantinople, establish their own governor, but will give it all to Greeks later on green table.

- Greeks will hesitate to accept new territories at the start, but will accept them later and will rule over what used to be Turkish capital. Greeks will return to Constantinopolis 600 years after leaving it, as monk said.

- One third of Turks will lose their lives, one third will accept Orthodox Christianity and one third will move to live in "some deserts".

- Armenia will get its lands back.

- Kurd people will establish their own country.

This prophecy bears notice if for nothing more than its matching likewise ones by Russian intelligence sources warning that the massive gas fields discovered in the Eastern Mediterranean, and claimed by Turkey, Israel, Cyprus, Greece, Lebanon and Egypt, can, indeed, be the “spark” to ignite a global war as whomever ultimately claims it will be assured of energy security for the rest of this century.
Known as the “Leviathan Gas Field” the discovery in 2010 of this massive gas field is said to be the largest of its kind in nearly all of human history, and with Israel and Greece just having signed anew security agreement to come to each others aid in time of war, it now appears that the Jewish state has now sided with Orthodox Christians against the apostates of the West who even as these words are being written are preparing to destroy the Greek nation as their appetite for the few remaining energy riches our world has left to offer feed a blood-lust nearly unparalleled in all of human history.
To if the British leaders warning today that the “time of end” has come, or if Monk Joseph’s grim visions will come true it is not in our knowing.
What is in our knowing, though, is that the world we live in today has become dangerous to the point of anyone with “ears to hear” and “eyes to see” should begin their preparations in earnest for the even more terrible tragedies soon to come.

THE BATTLE

The Antichrist figure finds his counterpart in the Hebrew Bible as Gog in Ezekiel 38-39. To demonstrate this point, a brief examination of the name גּוֹג Gog is required. In Ezekiel, Gog is clearly the enemy of Israel from the land of Magog or possibly “from the land of Gog.” In scripture, the proper names Agag and Gog were rendered somewhat interchangeably from the Hebrew. For instance, Agag appears in 1 Samuel: “And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive and devoted to destruction all the people with the edge of the sword”(1 Sa 15:8). He was the King of the Amalekites, a nephilim tribe, who was defeated and spared by Saul, but later killed by Samuel. It is interesting that the Septuagint translators rendered the name “Gog.” Yet, modern translations render it Agag. For instance, Numbers 24:7 which is a poetic oracle by Balaam concerning Israel and how they have God’s favor.

Remember, Balaam was a sorcerer hired to curse Israel but his diabolical efforts were frustrated by God. Thus, in the traditional rendering, the context is appropriate that Israel’s king will be superior to Gog. For instance,the ESV renders it,“Water shall flow from his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters; his king shall be higher than Agag (Gog), and his kingdom shall be exalted”(Nu 24:7). Well enough, this traditional rendering of the prophecy is assuredly concerning Saul’s defeat of Gog, nephilim king of Amalekites. Yet strangely the LXX translation by Brenton reflects a different manuscript which makes it seem as if Gog is from Jacob’s seed:

And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and sees Israel encamped by their tribes; and the Spirit of God came upon him. And he took up his parable and said, Balaam son of Beor says, the man who sees truly says, he says who hears the oracle of the Mighty One, who saw a vision of God in sleep; his eyes were opened: How goodly are thy habitations, Jacob, and thy tents, Israel! as shady groves, and as gardens by a river, and as tents which God pitched, and as cedars by the waters. There shall come a man out of his seed, and he shall rule over many nations; and the kingdom of Gog shall be exalted, and his kingdom shall be increased. ( Num 24:5-7 LXX Benton 1851 )[1] (emphasis added)

The kingdom of Gog will be exalted? This is astonishing! Is this just a bad translation or could this reading infer the sorcerer Balaam was predicting the kingdom of Antichrist? Many have speculated he must be Semitic for the Jews to accept him as Messiah. Balaam is an odd character for a pagan sorcerer as he also predicted Christ and the star of Bethlehem in his final oracle (Num 24:17). The prophetic literature gets even stranger.

Missler makes reference to the name Gog being used in the Septuagint while drawing a parallel to its use Ezekiel and Revelation. The LXX Translation by Brenton 1851 renders, “Thus has the Lord God shewed me; and, behold, a swarm of locusts coming from the east; and, behold, one caterpillar, king Gog” (Am 7:1). The original context of this passage is that judgment is coming to the Northern kingdom, Israel. It is a vision given to Amos of a locust army invasion similar to that in Joel. Yet, Amos begs the Lord to repent of it and the Lord does not carry it through (cf. Am 7:3). The thing that makes this use of Gog distinct is that it is not a variant translation from the Masoretic text because the Masoretic uses no name at all. See a comparison here. Missler draws significance from juxtaposing “locusts have no king” (Pr 30:27) against the “locusts” in Amos and Revelation who do have a king, arguing that it implies Amos and John must not be talking about insects:

The locusts in Revelation 9 have a king, Apollyon or Abaddon, but Proverbs 30:27 says that locusts have no king. So these locusts are not natural locusts; they are demon locusts. If that’s the case, then Gog, who is the king of the locusts, is a demon king.[2]

While the purpose of proverbs was not entomology, this reasoning seems quite reasonable. The terms grasshopper and locust are interchangeable as their is no taxonomic difference between locust and grasshopper species. In English the term “locust” is used for grasshopper species that change morphologically and behaviorally to form swarms. Research at Oxford University has identified that swarming behaviour is a response to overcrowding. Clearly the prophet is using locusts and caterpillar symbolically for invading hoards. The ancient Israelites had an agrarian economy. Invading armies are destructive to cities as insects are to crops. It implies annihilation. In the case of Amos’s original context, it would be the Assyrians who did in fact completely destroy the Northern kingdom. But the future context of Revelation speaks of a devastation by demonic entities.

Yet the only use of the proper name Gog in the NT appears in the book of Revelation and applies to a war after the millennium when Satan is released after being bound for 1,000 years. The locust imagery also recalls imagery from the book of Revelation 9 and the locust army of Joel:

In appearance the locusts were like horses prepared for battle: on their heads were what looked like crowns of gold; their faces were like human faces,(Re 9:7)
Their appearance is like the appearance of horses, and like war horses they run. As with the rumbling of chariots, they leap on the tops of the mountains, like the crackling of a flame of fire devouring the stubble, like a powerful army drawn up for battle.(Joe 2:4–5)

Others see what is widely believed to be “aliens” also taking part in this scenario. There does seem to be cultural trend toward belief in extraterrestrial life. It seems a likely cover story for demonic entities. In fact, the entities that gather the worlds armies for the battle of Armageddon bear an uncanny resemblance to what are commonly believed to be aliens.

“And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.(Re 16:13–14)

Many believe this is the strong delusion mentioned by Paul (2 Thes 2:11). Dr. David Allen Lewis and Robert Shreckhise postulate that these demonic spirits that look like frogs are indeed what the popular media deems “greys.” [2b] Paradox Brown carries this line of thought a little further offering:

But note that John doesn’t say the three evil spirits “ARE three frogs”. He says they “looked like frogs”… Let’s say that John was shown in his Revelation vision an image of something he had never seen before… It makes sense that if John didn’t know what this creature was, and had never seen anything like it, that he would describe it as “looking like” something he was familiar with. [2c]

Thus, it appears we have a menagerie of insectoid and reptilian transgenic entities involved in the Armageddon scenario. The secular world will likely assume they are from outer space as they have been heavily propagandized in that direction. We can infer that since Gog is the “caterpillar king” of this army, he is likely one and the same as Apollyon or Abaddon (cf. Am 7:1 LXX ; Rev 9:11). It seems likely that Gog in Ezekiel 38 & 39 is the Satanically empowered general in the end time war, the Beast.

Much has been written associating the Magog war of Ezekiel 38-39 with the battle of Armageddon. There are demonstrable parallels yet seemingly the book of Revelation explicitly places it one thousand years after Armageddon (cf. Rev 19:19; Rev. 20:8 ). Amillennialists (those who deny the 1000 year kingdom) like Kline attempt to conflate the battles described in Revelation 19 and 20.[3] Yet this lacks coherence as Heiser points out several insurmountable difficulties to this view. [4] Still, both Kline and Heiser agree that Gog can be associated with the Antichrist. This finds support in the Qumran War Scroll (1QM), which reveals it is Satan and his powers that are behind the usurpers:

For this shall be a time of distress for Israel, [and of the summons] to war against all the nations. There shall be eternal deliverance for the company of God, but destruction for all the nations of wickedness. All those [who are ready] for battle shall march out and shall pitch their camp before the king of the Kittim and before all the host of Satan gathered about him for the Day [of Revenge] by the Sword of God.[5]

The Qumran War Scroll reflects the same end time war as the Ezekiel text and accredits it to Satan. However, in Revelation 20 the Antichrist has been defeated and what is described is the release of Satan. Heiser convincingly solves this by viewing Gog as both. He writes, “I have argued that Ezekiel 38-39 will be fulfilled in two events: (1) Armageddon, which also is the fulfillment of Daniel 11:40-45; and (2) The subsequent, separate battle of Rev. 20:7-9.”[6]

“He shall come into the glorious land. And tens of thousands shall fall, but these shall be delivered out of his hand: Edom and Moab and the main part of the Ammonites.(Da 11:41)
“And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.(Re 20:7–8)

Thus the Satanically possessed Beast of Revelation is Gog in the battle of Armageddon and Satan himself is Gog in the post-millennium war. While Heiser argues that the Magog war is fulfilled in two stages of the “already but not yet” fulfillment scenario, this present treatment suggests a similar but novel solution.

One of the better arguments against placing the Magog war prior to the tribulation as many traditional dispensationalists do as well as against the recapitulation view of Amillennialists is that Ezekiel 38 describes Israel as already completely regathered in the land (Eze 38:8, 12) and dwelling securely without defenses (Eze 38:11).[7] This certainly does not apply to Israel’s current situation or to the preconditions for the battle of Armageddon. Today Israel is under constant threat and has very real barrier walls. It is also inconsistent with Armageddon because it is in the latter part of the great tribulation. Surely after enduring the trumpet and bowl judgments they will not be together in a secure peaceful state. Furthermore, the dry bones prophecy of Ezekiel 37 describes Israel’s rebirth contingent with the Messiah (Eze 37:15-28). Interestingly, Ezekiel 39:28 is a world wide call to Jews to return from the diaspora. Accordingly, it seems that chapter the 39 war precedes what is described in 38. Only after Ezekiel 39:28 will the diaspora be completely undone and the nation at peace. While others have postulated an earlier Psalm 83 war, The Ezekiel 38 war makes more sense in light of it being post millennium exactly as it says in Revelation 20. The biblical text solves the problem without an extra war. Thus, I completely agree with Heiser that Ezekiel 38 is the satanic showdown after the millennium. However, from this point forward an alternative interpretation is offered.

It is the proposal here that Ezekiel 39 describes the battle of Armageddon which temporally precedes the Magog war of chapter 38. The prophetic books are in a state that makes it extremely challenging to determine where one oracle ends and another begins. The modern chapter divisions are arbitrary and were imposed during the thirteenth century AD. While, the traditional view is that chapter 39 is restatement of 38, this is a tacit acknowledgement that chapter 38 resolves satisfactorily.[8] In other words, because they are both complete units and not dependent upon each other, they can arguably represent distinct battles. In Ezekiel 38, some of the Nations question and do not battle (Eze 38:13) but at the battle of Armageddon (Zec 14: 12) it seems all the nations of the world will be gathered against Jerusalem. The Ezekiel 39 battle is addressed to all the nations (Eze 39:7). Furthermore, chapter 39 is inaugurated with a new “Thus says the Lord God.” This interpretation suggests that chapters 38-39 are two distinct wars for the following seven reasons: One, Gog and his armies are described as brought out to battle at the beginning of each chapter in unique circumstances (38:4-9; cf. 39:2). Two, chapter 38 clearly states that the land was restored from war (Ez 38:8). It is suggested that this refers to the Ezekiel 39/Armageddon war. Three, the chapter 38 war ties together with the post millennium release of Satan (Rev.20:7-10; cf. Eze 38:16, 22) and the white throne judgment (Rev.20:11-15) with “I will enter into judgment with him” (Eze 38:22). Four, the nations will know that their defeat was by the Lord and that Israel will know the Lord from that day forward (Eze 39:21-22). This arguably convenes the inauguration of the millennium. Five, the nations will understand why Israel was exiled and abandoned by God (Eze 39:23). This explains the tribulation. Six, the Lord will restore and gather Israel (Eze 39:25-27). This seems to be concurrent with the return of Christ in Ezekiel 37:15-28 and is a precursor to the chapter 38 war. Seven, Israel knows their God from that day forward and God never hides his face from them again (Eze 39:28-29). Consequently, the prerequisite regathered and secure status of Ezekiel 38 (Rev. 20) is arguably the result of the previous Ezekiel 39 (Rev. 19) war. All that is required for one to accept is that these are two oracles in a non-chronological order, a contention which is hardly unprecedented.

It is also compelling that in the Ezekiel 39 war, Gog is described as coming “from the uppermost parts of the North” and “against the mountains of Israel” (v.2). This language strongly concurs with the “mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north” interpretation of Armageddon. Brevard Childs’ scholarship on the enemy from the north and the chaos tradition suggests a possible connection:

Isa 14:12 ff. is a taunt against the king of Babylon and not directly related to the enemy tradition. Nevertheless, it is quite remarkable that the king who dared to “sit on the mount of assembly in the far north is described as the one “who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms.”[9]

It may be helpful to view this as cosmic north referring generally to the supernatural realm. In the aftermath, Gog falls on the mountains of Israel. In light of the case for supernatural warriors, it is interesting to note the distinction made between his hordes and people (Eze 39:4). In other words, his hordes are not necessarily human. There is a massive feast of carrion for the birds (39:4; cf. 17-20) which is correlated directly with Revelation 19:17-19. This also finds a parallel in Isaiah 18 and oracle addressing the inhabitants of the world (Is 18:3) and which culminates with the inauguration of Gods’ millennial kingdom (Is 18: 7ff).

There is only one time on the prophetic timeline in which one could say that God will reveal himself to all the nations and no longer tolerate his name being profaned (Eze.39:7; cf. Rev. 19:15). There is really only one day that he will regather all of Israel to their land while pouring out his spirit (Eze.39: 29; cf. Joel 2:28). Because these things are established “from that day forward”(Eze 39:22), this war will necessarily conclude just prior to the Millennium (Rev 20:4). That necessitates that this war happens on the narrow sense Day of the Lord, Armageddon or the battle of HarMô∙ʿēḏ – the Cosmic Mountain of God.

Brussels – As Europe struggles to contain its government debt crisis, the greatest fear is that one of the Continent’s major banks may fail, setting off a financial panic like the one sparked by Lehman’s bankruptcy in September 2008. European policy makers, determined to avoid such a catastrophe, are prepared to use hundreds of billions of euros of bailout money to prevent any major bank from failing. But questions continue to mount about the ability of Europe’s banks to ride out the crisis, as some are having a harder time securing loans needed for daily operations. American financial institutions, seeking to inoculate themselves from the growing risks, are increasingly wary of making new short-term loans in some cases and are pulling back from doing business with their European counterparts — moves that could exacerbate the funding problems of European banks. Similar withdrawals, on a much larger scale, forced Lehman into bankruptcy, as banks, hedge funds and others took steps to shield their own interests even though it helped set in motion the broader market crisis. Turmoil in Europe could quickly spread across the Atlantic because of the intertwined nature of the global financial system. In addition, it could further damage the already struggling economies elsewhere. “This crisis has the potential to be a lot worse than Lehman Brothers,” said George Soros, the hedge fund investor, citing the lack of an authoritative pan-European body to handle a banking crisis of this severity. “That is why the problem is so serious. You need a crisis to create the political will for Europe to create such an authority, but there is still no understanding as to what the authority will do.” The growing nervousness was reflected in financial markets Tuesday, with stocks in the United States and Europe falling 1 percent and European bank stocks falling 5 percent or more after steep drops in recent weeks. –NY Times

Warning of Civil war in Europe if the financial system collapses- Any time a major bank releases a report saying a given course of action is too costly, too prohibitive, too blonde, or simply too impossible, it is nearly guaranteed that that is precisely the course of action about to be undertaken. Which is why all non-euro skeptics are advised to shield their eyes and look away from the just released report by UBS (of surging 3 Month USD Libor rate fame) titled “Euro Break Up – The Consequences.” UBS conveniently sets up the straw man as follows: “Under the current structure and with the current membership, the Euro does not work. Either the current structure will have to change, or the current membership will have to change.” Yet where it gets scary is when UBS quantifies the actual opportunity cost to one or more countries leaving the Euro. Notably Germany. “Were a stronger country such as Germany to leave the Euro, the consequences would include corporate default, recapitalization of the banking system and collapse of international trade. If Germany were to leave, we believe the cost to be around EUR6,000 to EUR8,000 for every German adult and child in the first year, and a range of EUR3,500 to EUR4,500 per person per year thereafter. That is the equivalent of 20% to 25% of GDP in the first year. ” It also would mean the end of UBS, but we digress. Where it gets even more scary is when UBS, like many other banks to come, succumbs to the Mutual Assured Destruction trope made so popular by ole’ Hank Paulson : “The economic cost is, in many ways, the least of the concerns investors should have about a break-up. Fragmentation of the Euro would incur political costs. Europe’s “soft power” influence internationally would cease (as the concept of “Europe” as an integrated polity becomes meaningless). It is also worth observing that almost no modern fiat currency monetary unions have broken up without some form of authoritarian or military government, or civil war.” So you see: save the euro for the children, so we can avoid all out war (and UBS can continue to exist). There is prima facie evidence that the HAARP-atmospheric plasma weapons system and aerosol spraying (chemtrails) are carrying out mind control against the human population on a global (as well as national, regional and individual) scale.

These mind control operations include:

• Biological operations, including the use of apparent bio-warfare mind control agents, in the covert global aerosol spraying program (chemtrails), and through

• Electromagnetic Operations, including HAARP mind control weapons applications

constituting war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and the Geneva conventions.

Mind control: Biological operations and covert global aerosol spraying (chemtrails)

According to one source, “The term [Mind Control] has been applied to any tactic, psychological or otherwise, which can be seen as subverting an individual's sense of control over their own thinking, behavior, emotions or decision making.”

By this definition, a powerful global covert mind control program is being carried out against global, national, and regional populations as well as individuals through the biological operations of covert global aerosol spraying (chemtrails).

Specifically, as demonstrated in Article #1 of this Examiner.com series, the sprayed aerosols (chemtrails) contain the following amounts of toxic chemicals. The effect of these toxic chemicals on the mental, psychological and emotional functioning of the target human population is to “subvert the individual's sense of control over their own thinking, behavior, emotions or decision making.”

The first item on any preparedness list should always be fresh water. Whether you’re storing it or locating access points it is without a doubt the most critical element of any SHTF plan.

Without it you’re dead in 72 hours.

As we progress through the 21st century fresh water will become harder to find, especially fresh water that hasn’t been polluted by mass industrialization. In America, for the time being, we enjoy a fairly decent fresh water supply (we’ll avoid mentioning fluoride, lithium, radiation, pharmaceuticals and the host of other chemicals we find in America’s water supplies), especially when compared to the literally billions of people who don’t have access to anything remotely resembling filtered and treated water. Countries like India, China and the entire continent of Africa are all struggling to keep their populations hydrated.

As more people join the human population our water resources will become further strained. We use fresh water for everything. In the following video Future Money Trends notes that it often times reaches the point of ridiculousness:

Like oil, it takes water for many goods.
A cotton T-shirt: 400 gallons.
Denim jeans: 1,800 gallons.
A car: 39,000 gallons.
A barrel of beer: 1,500 gallons.

Consider how much water it takes to grow our food, feed our animals, and ourselves.

The situation is serious.
It is our view that before the end of this century – probably even before we hit the halfway mark – super powers will go to war over water resources.

For the preparedness minded, we stress that any preparedness plan should include not just water storage planning, but water access planning that may include strategies such as rain harvesting. If you are looking to acquire a retreat property, access to water should be one of your primary considerations. Can you drill a well? Do you have access to a river that is near the mountains so that your supply is not contaminated? If not, do you have access to equipment such as an atmospheric water generator, or perhaps a manual desalinization system for those near oceans?

Future Money Trends warns that one of the largest aquifers in the world right here in the United States is going dry – and it will run out of fresh water within 60 years – and that’s if we don’t completely pollute the water table with chemicals, pesticides and radiation. Perhaps we have even less time.

We won’t run out of water tomorrow, but there may be a time in our lifetimes, and certainly in the lifetimes of the generation being born today, that water will be more valuable than anything else on the planet and very difficult to acquire. So difficult, in fact, that billions of humans may die as a result.

The El Nino climate cycle, which spreads warm, dry air around the globe every four years or so, doubles the risk of civil wars in 90 tropical countries, researchers reported on Wednesday.

And because El Nino patterns can be predicted up to two years in advance, scientists suggest their findings could be used to help prepare for some conflicts and the humanitarian crises they cause.

Historians and climate specialists have noted signs that changes in climate sent past societies into conflict and decline, but this is the first study to quantify the link between El Nino's heat, the droughts that follow, and upheaval in countries that bear the brunt of it.

Between 1950 and 2004, one out of every five civil conflicts were influenced by El Nino, scientists reported in the journal Nature.

El Nino starts as a large patch of warm water in the tropical Pacific and influences global climate and weather across much of Africa, the Middle East, India, Southeast Asia, Australia and the Americas.

This pattern can cause large crop losses and increased risk of natural disasters like hurricanes and the spread of infectious diseases, study co-author Kyle Meng of Columbia University's Earth Institute. more

Many individuals believe, or are at least led to believe that weather manipulation, (modification) technologies is something that falls into the category of science fiction, and is made up by those with wild and vivid imaginations. Generally speaking, most individuals have come to view weather modification as a Hollywood type story line, where circus and carnival type hucksters are seen selling scam like rainmaking schemes to unwary townsfolk desperate for rain. Many others have come to view weather modification as airplanes seeding clouds in hopes of bringing about rain. For most individuals these are the image's that come to mind whenever weather modification is mentioned.

It is no wonder that many have come to believe that weather modification carried out by man is a subject and reality that belongs in the category of being science fiction. People have been led to believe by those who are in places of high power, especially those in the government and military, that weather modification is nothing more than the idea of those who have a creative and wild imagination and dwell on science fiction fantasy, and that weather modification cannot be done, or cannot happen.

Recently, a very popular and well visited Earth Changes site, one that routinely engages in lies and disinformation, and that is in no way affiliated with Earth Changes Central, actively engaged in denying the existence of weather modification. If one is going to consider the existence and ramifications of Earth Changes and Global Climate Change in a knowledgeable, educated and serious manner, then weather modification technologies must be considered into the Earth Changes equation for the argument about Earth Changes to be valid; at least from the standpoint of sudden and catastrophic weather changes.

Since the US Air Force took down the Project 2025 site in August 2005, there has been an increase in individuals and sites spreading disinformation about weather modification technologies, and calling the sites and those who are spreading the word about weather modification technologies, crackpot's and worse, and additionally, have gone so far as to state that the individuals spreading the information about weather modification do not know what they are talking about.

How convenient and coincidental that the 'smoking gun,' the US Government's Project 2025 site and the papers at it, including, Weather as a Force Multiplier: Owning the Weather in 2025, pointing to an ongoing project about the US Government and military manipulating the weather, should be taken down by them at this time, on the heels of it looking like Hurricane Katrina may have been manipulated!

The timing of the Project 2025 site being taken down, before Hurricane Katrina and the Gulf Coast-New Orleans catastrophe, was of course most likely not a mere coincidence, or was it an accident on the part of the US Government.

Weather modification of course is not fiction or fantasy, it is fact. How of course can I make this bold statement, without the proof of the Project 2025 Internet site being up? Easy, I copied and saved the entire PDF copy of the Project 2025 site, including the section, Weather as a Force Multiplier: Owning the Weather in 2025, in the very likely event something like the Gulf Coast-New Orleans event happened, and the US Government tried to hide the facts about Project 2025, which of course it did.

The following information has been excerpted from Weather as a Force Multiplier: Owning the Weather in 2025.

What are the underlying causes of extreme weather instability, which has ravaged every major region of the World in the course of the last few years?
Hurricanes and tropical storms have ravaged the Caribbean. Central Asia and the Middle East are afflicted by drought. West Africa is facing the biggest swarm of locusts in more than a decade. Four destructive hurricanes and a tropical rain storm Alex, Ivan, Frances, Charley and Jeanne have occurred in a sequence, within a short period of time. Unprecedented in hurricane history in the Caribbean, the island of Grenada was completely devastated: 37 people died and roughly two-thirds of the island's 100,000 inhabitants have been left homeless; in Haiti, more than two thousand people have died and tens of thousands are homeless. The Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Cuba, the Bahamas and Florida have also been devastated. In the US, the damage in several Southern states including Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and the Carolinas is the highest in US history.
A study released in July 2003, by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) places the blame, without further examination, at the feet of global warming:

"These record extreme events [high temperatures, low temperatures and high rainfall amounts and droughts] all go into calculating the monthly and annual averages which, for temperatures, have been gradually increasing over the past 100 years," the WMO said in its statement (CNN, July 3, 2003, http://www.cnn.com/2003/WEATHER/07/03/wmo.extremes/ )

While global warming is undoubtedly an important factor, it does not fully account for these extreme and unusual weather patterns.
Weather Warfare
The significant expansion in America's weather warfare arsenal, which is a priority of the Department of Defense is not a matter for debate or discussion. While, environmentalists blame the Bush administration for not having signed the Kyoto protocol, the issue of "weather warfare", namely the manipulation of weather patterns for military use is never mentioned.
The US Air Force has the capability of manipulating climate either for testing purposes or for outright military-intelligence use. These capabilities extend to the triggering of floods, hurricanes, droughts and earthquakes. In recent years, large amounts of money have been allocated by the US Department of Defense to further developing and perfecting these capabilities.

Weather modification will become a part of domestic and international security and could be done unilaterally... It could have offensive and defensive applications and even be used for deterrence purposes. The ability to generate precipitation, fog, and storms on earth or to modify space weather, ... and the production of artificial weather all are a part of an integrated set of technologies which can provide substantial increase in US, or degraded capability in an adversary, to achieve global awareness, reach, and power. While there is no firm evidence that the US Air Force weather warfare facilities have been deliberately applied to modify weather patterns, one would expect that if these capabilities are being developed for military use, they would at least be the object of routine testing, much in the same way as the testing of new conventional and strategic weapons systems.
Needless to say, the subject matter is a scientific taboo. The possibility of climatic or environmental manipulations as part of a military and intelligence agenda, while tacitly acknowledged, is never considered as relevant. Terrorists attack southern Israel

After the Israeli Air Force struck 12 Hamas and other terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip overnight Thursday, Aug. 18, a hail of missiles hit the towns of Ashdod, Beersheba, Ashkelon and the smaller Sdot Negev, Shar Hanegev and Eshkol villages in a continuous blitz Friday, Aug. 19. Ten worshippers were injured - two seriously - when one of the six Grads aimed at Ashdod hit a synagogue. Police detonated a second in a controlled explosion. The town's population is advised to stay in sheltered spaces.

Iron Dome is in action in Ashkelon. Red alerts have sounded in Gedera, Kiryat Gath and Gan Yavne.
Since 20 heavily armed gunmen killed eight Israelis and injured 33 in a multiple terrorist attack outside Eilat in southern Israel Thursday, Israel's armed forces, police and emergency services have been on high alert and reinforced. All weekend public events were cancelled in the South.
In the attack, gunmen from Gaza crossed the unfenced border from Egyptian into southern Israel and attacked two buses, two civilian cars and a military vehicle in an unfolding, complex terrorist operation which bore the signature of the Lebanese Hizballah and possibly al Qaeda fugitives from Iraq.

Seven were located and killed by police and army special forces. Shortly after the Palestinian attack, the Israeli Air Force struck a building in the southern Gaza town of Rafah, killing the six top leaders of the Popular Resistance Committees which directed the attack along with other Palestinian groups linked to al Qaeda. Israel's overnight air strikes hit more PRC as well as Hamas installations, weapons stores and smuggling tunnels.

Israeli forces backed by helicopters dropping flares combed the 70 kilometers of borderland running south from the Gaza Strip along the Egyptian Sinai border to flush out escaped terrorists and explosives traps. The searches continue Friday. The death Thursday night of Border Police Counter-Terror Unit's Senior NCO Paskal Avrahami, 49, from Jerusalem, raised the day's toll from terrorist attacks to eight. He was killed by one of the terrorists at large who had crossed back into Sinai.
1st Sgt. Moshe Naftali, 22, from Ofra, member of the Golani unit, was killed in the multiple attacks earlier that day. The other six victims were civilians.
Egyptian forces carrying out an anti-terror operation in Sinai were beefed after the multiple attack in Israel to block further passage of terrorists from Gaza into Israel. One unit traded shots with a suicide team early Friday after Egyptian chief of staff Gen. Sami Annan paid an overnight visit to the Sinai forces.

An hour earlier, two rockets fired from Gaza fell in northern Lachish not far from Kiryat Malachi. No injuries were reported although the explosion sparked a fire, which spread to an empty building. The building was lightly damaged before firefighters put out the fire.

Police have asked members of the public in the affected areas to follow instructionsfrom the home front command.

One person was seriously injured and another moderately injured after a Grad rocket fired from Gaza landed in the courtyard of a yeshiva in Ashdod on Friday morning.

Four other people were treated for shock following the attack. All were taken to Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot. An additional Grad that failed to explode subsequently fell in the area and was neutralized by the bomb squad.

Light damage was caused to the building as a result of the rocket fire.

The rocket attack came less than a day after a three-stage terror attack near Eilat killed eight people.

Earlier on Friday, at least 10 rockets were fired at various targets in the South including Ashkelon and Beersheba.

All of the rockets landed in open territory and no injuries or damage were reported.

IAF aircraft struck seven Hamas security installations in Gaza early Friday morning, killing at least one Palestinian, in further retaliation for the attacks on Thursday.

Gaza residents said three compounds controlled by Hamas were hit in the overnight raids. Medical officials said a 13-year-old boy in a nearby building was killed and 17 people were wounded.

Defense sources said the attackers infiltrated from Gaza via Egypt's Sinai desert, despite stepped up efforts by Egyptian security forces in recent days to rein in Palestinian terrorists.

"If anyone thinks the State of Israel will resign itself to this, they are wrong," Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said in a brief television address about the most deadly attack in Israel since 2008.

The IDF said seven gunmen were killed in southern Israel, including two who blew themselves up in suicide attacks on one of the buses and in a confrontation with soldiers.

Egyptian soldiers apparently shot dead two gunmen, the military said.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli airstrikes killed four Palestinian militants in Gaza while Palestinians fired rockets into southern Israel, hitting a synagogue and a school and wounding several Israelis in the aftermath of the deadliest attack against Israelis in three years.

Palestinian militants in Gaza launched more than two dozen rockets into Israel on Friday, the Israeli military said. One smashed through a roof of a Jewish seminary, damaging a synagogue in the port city of Ashdod and wounding six Israelis who were standing outside, Israeli emergency services said. One hit an empty school and another, aimed at the city of Ashkelon, was intercepted by the new Israeli anti-missile system known as Iron Dome.

Israeli aircraft struck several targets in Gaza on Friday in retaliation for the rocket attacks, the military said, killing four Palestinian militants. One strike hit a motorcycle carrying senior militants from the Palestinian group Israel says is behind Thursday's violence. Another five militants were killed Thursday night.

Gunmen who appear to have originated in Gaza and crossed into southern Israel through the Egyptian desert ambushed civilian vehicles traveling on a remote road, killing eight people. Six were civilians, and two were members of Israeli security forces responding to the incursion.

Thursday's attack signaled a new danger for Israel from its border with the Sinai Peninsula, which was always restive but had been kept under control by former Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak. He was deposed in February, and the desert of the Sinai Peninsula — controlled largely by Bedouin tribes — has become increasingly lawless.

The sudden spike in violence threatened to upset the already frayed ties between Israel and Egypt and escalate the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.

Israel's south has been equipped with early warning systems and bomb shelters over years of rocket fire from Gaza, and those measures have helped keep casualties low.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited some of the wounded in hospital Friday afternoon. "We killed the head of the group that sent the terrorists but this is just an initial response."

The Israeli military's chief spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yoav Mordechai, said it was "too early" to say that a broad escalation in Gaza was imminent.

"If we see that Hamas is choosing to escalate, we will not hesitate to expand the scope of our actions, respond in strength and exact a price from Hamas," he told Israel Army Radio on Friday morning.

Israeli aircraft hit multiple targets in Gaza in response to the rocket attacks, the military said.

Egyptian officials said five Egyptian security personnel died as a result of Thursday's gunbattles. An Egyptian security official said three died Thursday and two others died of wounds on Friday. He said they were apparently caught in a crossfire as Israeli soldiers chased the attackers.

On Friday the Egyptian news agency said Egypt filed an official protest over the deaths and called on Israel to investigate.

An Israeli military officer gave a different version of the events. He said one of the attackers was a suicide bomber who fled back across the border into Egypt and detonated his explosives among the Egyptian security personnel. It was not possible to reconcile the two versions.

The military said Friday that Israeli forces killed seven militants during the clash. The officer, briefing reporters by phone on condition of anonymity according to military regulations, said there were at least 15 attackers — Palestinian militants from Gaza, members of an extremist group.

Israel responded hours after the border attack with an airstrike in Gaza that killed five members of the group, known as the Popular Resistance Committees. The dead included the group's leader.

A spokesman for the group, Abu Mujahid, would not confirm or deny responsibility for the attack inside Israel.

Also Friday, dozens of Palestinians trying to reach the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem for Muslim prayers during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan scuffled with police at one of the gates to the Old City. The police were allowing access only to older Muslims in a measure police said is meant to prevent unrest.

The officers used a water cannon to disperse the crowd and made several arrests, police said. No injuries were reported.

The violence in the south focused Israel's attention on its border with Egypt — 125 miles (200 kilometers) of mountainous desert with no fence for most of its length. Bedouin smugglers ferrying drugs and thousands of African asylum-seekers into Israel have crossed the border almost unimpeded for years.

Thursday's attack — the deadliest for Israel since a Palestinian gunman killed eight people in a Jerusalem religious seminary in 2008 — took place near Israel's popular Red Sea resort city of Eilat, at the height of the tourist season.

Though the desert outside Eilat showed signs of an increased military presence on Friday morning, the city itself appeared unaffected. Joggers and cyclists were visible along the beach.

A new fence is currently under construction, and the military says it will be completed by the end of 2012.

The attack came after a prolonged period without negotiations between Israel and the Western-backed Palestinian leadership in the West Bank. That deadlock has led the Palestinians to unilaterally seek recognition of statehood at the United Nations next month, a largely symbolic move opposed by Israel and the U.S.

Gunmen have stormed the British Council office in the Afghan capital, Kabul, killing at least nine people and taking over the compound for hours.

A suicide car bomb destroyed the compound wall and a number of heavily armed men forced their way inside.

After several hours of gunfire and blasts, the UK's ambassador in Kabul said all the gunmen had been killed.

The Taliban said the attack marked the anniversary of Afghanistan's independence from the UK in 1919.

At least eight Afghan policemen and a foreign security official - reportedly a New Zealand special services soldier - were killed, Afghan authorities said.

Isaf confirmed that one of its troops had been killed during the operation without giving further details about the soldier's nationality, AFP reports.

UK Prime Minister David Cameron condemned the "cowardly attack", saying he had spoken to New Zealand Prime Minister John Key to thank him for the role the country's special forces had played in defending the compound. (more)

At least 39 people have been killed in two days of political and gang violence in Pakistan's southern city of Karachi.

Following Wednesday's killing of 13 people including ex-MP Waja Karim Dad, violence escalated and officials say more bodies were recovered overnight.

Police say many of those killed were kidnapped first and that some victims appear to have been tortured.

The attacks unfolded as Karachi's main MQM political party announced it will rejoin Pakistan's coalition government.

The party had left the PPP-led coalition after accusing its majority partner of not doing enough to stop the violence.

Thirty-four people were killed and 100 wounded in a blast during Friday prayers at a mosque in Pakistan's Khyber Agency, a government official said.

The mosque had about 300 people when the blast went off, officials said.

One worshipper said the blast was so loud, he passed out.

"When I stood up, I saw dead bodies and injured people everywhere," Hikmat Ullah Afridi said.

Officials were still trying to get more information on the blast in the village of Ghondi, said Mutahir Zaib, a senior government official of Khyber Agency.

The Israeli military bombed sites in Gaza and militants fired rockets from Gaza into Israel on Friday as tensions remained high a day after one of the worst terrorist attacks on Israelis in recent years.

A rocket that hit the Israeli port city of Ashdod injured six people, including one who suffered serious wounds, the Israeli medical services said. It was one of 14 rockets fired from Gaza into Israel on Friday, the Israeli military said.

Also Friday, Israeli jets bombed a group of militants in Nusseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, injuring one, and hit a militant training field, Palestinian security sources said. An airstrike north of Gaza City killed a boy in a home and injured five early Friday, Palestinian medical officials said. Three other people were injured in a strike on a Hamas government compound south of the city, they said.

The Israeli military said it hit two weapons manufacturing sites in central Gaza and "terror activity" sites in northern and southern Gaza. Israeli forces also fired on a militant as he prepared to fire a rocket in northern Gaza; the military said the militant fled.

The attacks come a day after assailants killed seven Israelis in a string of attacks on buses, civilian vehicles and soldiers in southern Israel on Thursday.

Gunmen snuck across Egypt’s border and killed seven people in southern Israel, provoking quick strikes in response that left at least 13 others dead. The attack highlights the increasing lawlessness in Egypt’s border region after the fall of president Hosni Mubarak.

The flurry of violence started on Thursday afternoon near the quiet resort town of Eilat, a place so far removed from conflict that onlookers initially did not recognize the distinctive sound of Kalashnikov fire when attackers sprayed bullets at a bus carrying Israeli soldiers.

The hours that followed saw at least three other locations inside Israel hit with automatic rifles, mortars, rocket-propelled grenades and even an anti-tank missile in a series of co-ordinated attacks.

Suicide bombers have attacked the British Council offices in Kabul on the public holiday marking Afghanistan's independence from Britain.
At least three people were killed in an initial attack from a car bomb outside the building, the city's criminal investigations chief told the AFP news agency.
But a fresh explosion from a suicide bomber inside the building took the death toll to at least eight. Most of the dead are thought to be police.
Insurgents holed themselves up inside the compound and exchanged fire with Afghan and Nato security forces for more than four hours after the first blast.
"Eight people, mostly police, are killed and 10 others injured," Siddiq Siddiqui of Afghanistan's interior ministry said.
"There is one person, one of the attackers who is still alive and resisting. The area has not yet been cleared."

Hungry people will do anything for food, which means that those who have control over food can use it as leverage. In 1974, Henry Kissinger suggested using food as a weapon to induce targeted population reduction in a previously classified 200-page report, National Security Study Memorandum 200: Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for U.S. Security and Overseas Interests. The primary tactic to be applied is that food aid would be withheld from developing nations until they submitted to birth control policies:

There is also some established precedent for taking account of family planning performance in appraisal of assistance requirements by AID [U.S. Agency for International Development] and consultative groups. Since population growth is a major determinant of increases in food demand, allocation of scarce PL 480 resources should take account of what steps a country is taking in population control as well as food production. In these sensitive relations, however, it is important in style as well as substance to avoid the appearance of coercion.

So, food was to be used as just another method of imperial colonization to force countries to conform their policies to those desired by the controllers. Notably, this tactic only works as a blunt weapon on territories enduring a severe economic collapse and with little resources for food production. Today, however, it appears that the entire globe is receiving an arsenal of food bombs as there appears to be a multifaceted attack on people's access to food. In other words, what has been an admitted tactic for nearly 40 years of controlling food aid for regional population reduction has now grown more complex and expansive.

Because of massive corporate consolidation of agriculture, centrally coordinated global regulations, a devalued commodity-dollar and unrestrained commodity speculation, chemical and genetic modification, and real or manipulated food shortages; there is indeed a war being waged -- with food as the primary weapon. Understand, this is a not purely a war on food, but rather a war on the general population. Therefore, it is crucial to understand these tactics in order to defend against them.

Here are six ways food is being used to wage war against the population:

1. Food inflation: Crippling food inflation is now affecting every corner of the world with the poorest feeling the worst pangs. The U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization's (FAO) food price index increased by 3 points to 234 points in June – a 39% increase on the year. These increases are causing mass starvation and rioting in many poor regions of the world, but they are also beginning to punish the middle-class in the Industrialized nations. The price of food is inflating primarily because of a devalued commodity-dollar from excessive money printing and Wall Street commodity speculation. Perhaps it's more appropriate to call it commodity manipulation, not speculation. As William Engdahl recently pointed out: "The ability to manipulate the price of essential foods worldwide at will -- almost irrespective of today’s physical supply and demand for grains -- is quite recent....Up until the grain crisis of the mid-1970s there was no single 'world price' for grain, the benchmark for the price of all foods and food products."

What fuels commodity speculation is not just the obvious decline of the dollar and a flight to something tangible, but also genuine supply concerns based on a variety of factors that cause crop shortages like extreme weather or disease. Regardless of real or manipulated food shortages, food prices will continue to rise because of increased demand and an incrementally weaker dollar. Luckily, there are many ways to protect yourself from food inflation and the food war in general.

2. Shortages: Through supply controls, food shortages have been used as a weapon to create regional conflicts, to encourage peacekeeping missions, and as a foreign policy carrot -- as clearly outlined in Kissinger's 1974, Memorandum 200. The most recent examples can be found with the current and ongoing negotiations with North Korea who perpetually holds a nuclear gun to the West's head in exchange for food. Somalia, who was food self-sufficient until the 1970s, has become a "failed state" because of food shortages. Significantly, the situation inSomalia and other large-scale famine are usually caused by a manipulated economic collapse. In fact, many have reported that the lack of food was an underlying factor of the Egyptian revolution.

Because of corporate consolidation of staple crops such as corn, soybeans, and wheat -- and the central control of food aid -- it is now easy to manipulate food shortages. But, clearly, there are also catastrophic weather events that destroy production in entire regions such as the heat wave in Russia last summer that caused them to restrict wheat exports in what some referred to as food wars. Many countries who had contracts with Russia were not happy, and their protectionist move had global effects on the food prices. In other words, imminent food shortages are typically a localized problem, but because the food system is so interconnected, local problems now affect the global community.

3. Chemical Additives: Chemical additives, from pesticides to preservatives, can only be viewed as a weapon in the depopulation agenda. Clearly, laboratory-concocted chemicals were never meant for human consumption. Therefore, they can only be attributed to an effort to deliberately and slowly poison the population. Many food and drink toxins like fluoride, aspartame, or monosodium glutamate (MSG) are now well-known to have negative health effects. Other lab creations like high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) are also beginning to prove very unhealthy with tests showing mercury in corn syrup. Incidentally, we dare you to find any sweet food that doesn't contain either aspartame or HFCS. Even wholesome Campbell's Tomato soup has HFCS, as does Heinz ketchup -- while nearly every candy or gum contains aspartame. It's estimated that the average American consumes 12 teaspoons of HFCS per day, while the younger population consumes nearly double that. "Mercury is toxic in all its forms. Given how much high-fructose corn syrup is consumed by children, it could be a significant additional source of mercury never before considered," said Dr. David Wallinga of the Agriculture and Trade Policy whose study found about a third of brand-name foods with HFCS had measurable amounts of mercury.

Pesticides fall into the chemical additive category -- GM pesticides especially (called Bt toxins). They are found in the blood stream of nearly all North Americans, and even in 80% of their unborn babies. It is presumed these toxins are acquired by eating genetically modified corn or soy, and from the livestock that feed on it. A recent study proved that the chemical found in best-selling pesticides, glyphosate, causes birth defects among other ailments. We must understand that although all of these toxins, and a host of others, are approved for consumption by the FDA, it doesn't make them safe. And even the ones that have exotic names but have yet to be proven to have ill effects surely have a cumulative impact on human health. They're so pervasive that it seems impossible to evade them, but there are still ways to eat like a human.

4. Regulations: By restricting food freedom, regulatory agencies purposely increase dependence on the Big Ag monopoly cartel that fully controls the basic building blocks of food. Simply put, those who control the corn, wheat, soybeans and rice, control all food, since all livestock and all processed foods are dependent on those food sources. In America, and increasingly around the world, this cartel places their cronies in government regulatory agencies like the USDA to weed out their competition through excessive regulation. Furthermore, this restriction of food freedom is happening in concert across the globe, precisely because it is a top-down globalist initiative driven by international regulatory agencies such as the World Trade Organization and the United Nations. It is a complex, interwoven agenda that takes into account everything from health safety to land use rights in order to force independent food producers to conform in ways that only benefit a global corporate structure. Regulatory agencies are one of the primary weapons deployed against independent living.

5. Genetic Modification: There are many reasons to avoid eating genetically modified food,from health concerns to supporting a fundamentally evil food cartel. Genetically modified foods are the path to monopolies over human life through patented technology and environmental destruction by chemical-heavy monoculture practices. GMOs are so pervasive in the United States that it is estimated that 70% of the average American diet contains them. Many European countries, and other regions, have rejected GMOs. Hungary recently destroyed illegal GM corn crops and plans to make distributing seeds a felony offense. However, because of corporate/political pressure, most resistant countries are being forced to adopt them. All of this despite the fact that environmental infection and contamination are proven effects of transgenic plants. Meanwhile, the control is being implemented under convoluted patent laws, where the mutation itself signifies originality and control over the natural organism it imitates.

6. The Weather: Weather undeniably affects food access and food costs. One glance at maps across the globe reveals that food production areas are being especially hard hit, and we are seeing prices rise accordingly. These natural events can be exploited both by speculators and governments. However, with the introduction of weather modification, invested in by those such as Bill Gates and openly promoted by elite globalist think tanks, concerns have been raised over the possibility that governments could use weather as a deliberate weapon to create food wars. Accusations have already been leveled charging exactly that. While some might dismiss the various possibilities of "steering the weather" for malevolent purposes as conspiracy, it is much more difficult to ignore the 1996 document presented to the Air Force titled Owning the Weather 2025 (PDF), which explicitly states as a heading on page 10: Applying Weather-modification to Military Operations. One key section states that weather control could be virtual, as well as literal:

Offensive abilities could provide spoofing options to create virtual weather in the enemy's sensory and information systems, making it more likely for them to make decisions producing results of our choosing rather than theirs. It would also allow for the capability to mask or disguise our weather-modification activities.

Also key to the feasibility of such a system is the ability to model the extremely complex nonlinear system of global weather in ways that can accurately predict the outcome of changes in the influencing variables.

Conceivably, with enough lead time and the right conditions, you could get “made-to-order” weather.

This would certainly be the ultimate endgame for anyone wishing to use food as a weapon of control and profit. This possibility should not be easily dismissed, but rather it warrants open-minded investigation and research.

As we can see, food control is full spectrum, with wars being declared on the individual, states, and sovereign nations simultaneously. Food controllers utilize health, politics, and economics to integrate their agenda. Only full spectrum solutions can be employed as protection. There is much hope to be offered through alternative markets, barter systems, and local co-ops. At least two people have been killed in a massive explosion in Oslo and four are killed in a shooting at a youth meeting 500 miles from Oslo.Police in Norway say the blast - which happened just after 2.30pm today GMT - was caused by a bomb.
There are now reports of a shooting on a children's summer camp in Utoya Island, 500 miles north of Oslo. Up to 1,000 children are believed to be in attendance.
Early reports indicate the camp is a meeting of the youth group of the Labour party and Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg was in attendance at the time of the attack, when a man disguised as a police officer allegedly opened fire.
People are now reportedly trying to escape by swimming away from the island and locking themselves in buildings.
Speaking on the phone to Norwegian TV station TV2 Mr Stoltenberg said: 'There is a critical situation at Utøya and several ongoing ops as we speak.'
Police are also saying this afternoon the office of broadcaster TV2 has been sealed off because of a suspicious package.
The tangled wreckage of a car was seen outside one Government building leading to suggestions it could be have been a car bomb. Officers are investigating whether it was a fertiliser nitrate device.
The Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg was not in the city at the time and is unharmed, it has been reported.
Norwegian broadcasters have confirmed one death just before 4pm however early pictures show at least two dead bodies.
At least fifteen people have been injured from flying glass and seven are being treated at Oslo University Hospital. Read More

JERUSALEM — The Palestinian Authority plans to use international backing to legitimize a new conflict with Israel, a report said.

The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs asserted that the PA, in cooperation with Hamas, hopes that a United Nations resolution for a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip would set the stage for war with Israel in late 2011. The report, authored by leading Israeli analyst Pinhas Inbari, envisioned what Palestinian leaders have termed a "third intifada," or revolt.
"What the Palestinians really envisage after September is to exploit a UN endorsement of statehood to legitimize an escalation of the conflict," the report, titled "What Are the Palestinians Planning after September?" said. "After having the 1967 lines recognized so as to negate the results of the Six-Day War, they plan to seek recognition of the 1947 partition lines."

Israeli aircraft struck Gaza overnight for the fourth time in as many days, wounding a militant who was about to fire a rocket, Palestinian security sources said on Saturday.

The Palestinian was admitted to hospital but his injuries were not life-threatening, the sources said.

An Israeli military spokeswoman confirmed that an air strike had targeted a Palestinian.

The raid was followed by the firing of two rockets from Gaza into Israel, neither of which caused casualties or damage, she added.

There has been a sharp increase in rocket fire by Gaza militants in recent days, ending two months of relative calm in which just two rockets were fired into Israel in two months.

Armed forces chief of staff Lieutenant General Benny Gantz convened a meeting on Friday with regional commander for GazaBrigadier General Tal Russo, air force chief Major General Ido Nehustan and military intelligence chief Major General Aviv Kochavi to discuss a response, Israeli media reported.

Israel has launched a series of air strikes in retaliation for the rocket fire.

On Thursday night, Israeli jets struck three targets in Gaza, moderately wounding four Palestinians, security and medical officials said.

On Wednesday night, Israeli aircraft targeted three tunnels, two used for smuggling in southern Gaza and one "used for terrorist activity" in the north of the Palestinian territory.

Two Palestinians were listed as missing after one of the tunnels collapsed in the raid, and the body of one of them has been recovered, medics said. The fate of the other man is still unknown.

On Tuesday, Israeli air raids hit what the military called two "weapons manufacturing sites" in northern Gaza. Palestinian medical sources said one woman was moderately injured.

In April, tensions rose after an anti-tank missile fired from Gaza hit an Israeli school bus, killing a teenager.

Israel responded with a series of air strikes that killed at least 19 Palestinians in the deadliest violence since Israel's devastating 22-day assault on Gaza in 2008-2009.

The violence raised fears of another similar offensive, but on April 10 Gaza's Hamas rulers declared a return to the truce that ended Israel's Operation Cast Lead in January 2009.

Israel will probably attack Iran in September, a former CIA officer who spent 21 years in the Middle East, including in Lebanon and Syria, has told a Los Angeles radio show.

While Robert Baer didn’t reveal the sources behind his prediction, he referred to former Mossad chief Meir Dagan’s warnings of an Israeli attack on Iran as “no bluff.”

Baer told the KPFK Radio on Tuesday recent comments made by Dagan that an Israeli attack on Iran could lead to a regional war, “tell us with near certainty that [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu is planning an attack, and in as much as I can guess when it’s going to be, it’s probably going to be in September, before a [UN General Assembly] vote on the Palestinian state.”

Netanyahu is “also hoping to draw the United States into the conflict – and in fact, there’s a warning order inside the Pentagon to prepare for conflict with Iran,” Baer said.

The retired senior CIA officer predicted that Israel would attack the Natanz nuclear facility, as well as “a couple of others to degrade their capabilities.”

“The Iranians will strike back where they can, and that will be in Basra and in Baghdad,” where the US has a reduced troop presence, Baer said.

“We’ve started to look at Iran’s targets in Iraq and across the border,” he said.

Baer, however, said a regional war was unlikely.

“What we’re facing here is an escalation, not a planned all-out war,” he said.

There was no response from the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem.

An Iranian radio station has accused Israel of planning to kill Hizbullah terrorist chief Hassan Nasrallah. The report, broadcast on the Hebrew-language station “Kol David,” claimed to be based on a report in the Lebanese paper Al-Deir.

The Mossad has a plan to kill Nasrallah, Kol David claimed. “[The report] was approved in 2006 but has been shelved due to American and European pressure to maintain the ceasefire with Lebanon,” according to the report.

However, the station said, “European diplomats' reports based on sources in Tel Aviv determined that the Israeli occupation officials are still determined to murder the head of Hizbullah.”

“The Mossad is trying to prevent any evidence or sign of Israeli involvement in the murder,” the report went on to claim.

Iran is a major financial and political supporter of Hizbullah in Lebanon. Iranian and Hizbullah troops have joined forces to help fight protesters in Syria, and there is concern that both may be planning to use incitement against Israel to ease pressure on Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Previously it appeared that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was attempting to goad Israel into war with the increasingly politically powerful Hizbullah terrorist group in order to deflect attention from his own lack of popularity. (read more)

Lebanon has warned Israel it is “playing with fire” by staking out energy claims in the Mediterranean Sea, where Beirut says Israel’s discoveries are in its territory.

The Israeli Cabinet, heading off another dispute similar to the Sheba Farms land dispute at the northern border, approved a “marine economic zone proposal” Sunday after Lebanon presented maps to the United Nations, marking maritime borders that would include part of the giantLeviathan and Tamarfields. The United Nations previously has refused to take repsonsiblity for marking the maritime borders.
The Lebanese daily As-Safir,in an article under the headline “War of Oil: Another Phase of Israeli Offense,” reported that Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water Joubran Bassil said Israel “isplaying with fire “by violating Lebanon’s maritime border and oil rights.”
He added, “Obviously we will prevent any violation. However, in case of violation, Israel will not be the only damaged part, but also large companies that cooperate with it. We, in Lebanon, respect the rights of others, and we don’t want to violate the rights of others, but at the same time, we do not want someone to attack us. Lebanon will not give up its rights or its borders”
Israeli firms discovered the gas fields, which also are believed to hold large commercially viable oil deposits, two years ago. Afterwards, Lebanon said the discoveries are in its territory, and it recently has announced that a Norwegian company will start a seismic research offshore.
Hizbullah, with its eyes on the rich reserves, previously has threatened that Israel is risking war by planning to “steal” its offshore energy reserves.

Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon Sunday morning denied a report n theHaaretz newspaper that the United States already has backed the Lebaneseposition.
"The dispute over the border with Lebanon was created by the Lebanese,” he said on Army Radio. “It is incorrect that the Americans sided with Lebanon in this dispute. There are very objective and organized rules, and I think that Israel will have no problem proving its ownership of the maritime areas that are ostensibly in dispute."
He also said that Israel has unsuccessfully tried to talk with Lebanese officials about maritime borders, despite the countries' officially being enemy states. "We've been in contact with Lebanon for a very long time," he explained. "We have an interest in demarcating and setting all the borders, but they refuse."
“Even the current land border, which is recognized by the United Nations, [was demarcated] without Lebanese involvement or recognition,” Ayalon said. “After the huge gas reserves were discovered, they suddenly woke up. Now that they've suddenly sent maps, we have no choice but to set the borders ourselves."
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman charged that Lebanon is “under pressure from Hizbullah” and “is looking for friction.” He added that there are "very strong arguments under international law" that back Israel’s claims.

American troops might soon find themselves serving in Australia as the United States looks for better access to the South China Sea, the source of much friction between China and many other Pacific nations.

During testimony on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, Adm. Robert Willard, the commander of the U.S. Pacific Command, said Australians would like to see an increase of U.S. military activities Down Under.

"The Australians have been extremely forward-leaning in their overtures to the United States government, and to the Department of Defense, to consider whether or not increasing our level of involvement with their armed forces," Willard told the House Armed Service Committee.

One of the goals would be improving Pacific Command's presence in that part of the world.

"Taking advantage of some of the existing capacities in Australia would lend to an improved Pacific Command posture in accessing Southeast Asia and the South China Sea region. And we have taken a hard look at that."

In recent years, China has been building up its military, including its navy, and has staked claims on sovereignty in the South China Sea that many nations, including the United States, have disputed.

U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates has said he has a group studying the idea of U.S. troops rotating through existing Australian bases, but he doesn't want to create any new permanent bases in the Pacific. And he remained diplomatic when asked whether such a plan would be about keeping China in check.

"This is really more about continuing U.S. presence and building these relationships, and it's more about our relationships with the rest of Asia than it is about China." (read more)

The procession of cars carrying Fereidoun Abbasi Davani sped down Vienna's Wagramer Strasse this Monday and into the underground car park of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Outside the building, on the bank of the Danube River, some 30 protesters from the Stop the Bomb movement demonstrated, waving signs denouncing the Iranian nuclear scientist. But Iranian security officers seemed more concerned about the prospect of someone trying to exploit Abbasi Davani's controversial visit to finish the job.

On November 29, 2010, anonymous assailants tried to assassinate Abbasi Davani as he emerged from his home in Tehran. He and his wife, seated next to him in the car, were hit by gunfire, but survived the assassination attempt. Iran blamed the Mossad for the failed operation.

The assassins were more successful in a different attack launched that same day, which killed another nuclear scientist - Majid Shahriari.
The Iranians claimed that Abbasi Davani was nothing but an innocent physics professor. Intelligence sources countered that his university position was just a cover for his secret activity as one of the leading experts in Iran's weaponization, which is working on the final and decisive stage of developing a nuclear weapon under the auspices of the Revolutionary Guards. His name appears on the UN Security Council's blacklist, compiled after the council voted in March 2007 to impose sanctions on companies, organizations and individuals involved in Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile programs. It also appears on similar lists compiled by the United States and the European Union, which ordered that his assets be frozen. (read more)

Last month we reported that the occupation of Iraq would be “prolonged indefinitely” and that a substantial number of U.S. troops would remain in the country beyond the December 31 deadline, which is precisely what transpired yesterday when the Obama administration announced its intention to abandon the original withdrawal plan.

“The Obama administration has been debating how large a force to propose leaving in Iraq. It made its proposal now in hopes of spurring a request from Prime Minister Nouri Maliki’s government, and to give the Pentagon time to plan, the officials said,” reports the L.A. Times, confirming that plans for a full withdrawal by the end of the year have been all but scrapped.
Senator John McCain has also called for 10-13,000 US troops to remain in the country for for “intelligence capabilities”.

Of course, these troops will be supplemented by security guards, mercenaries and innumerable other assets, swelling that figure by tens of thousands.

How were we able to forecast that efforts would be made to prolong the occupation beyond the set deadline? We didn’t have to rely on any crystal balls – we were merely going on leaked information from the 2011 Bilderberg Group meeting – a conference of global power brokers that the establishment media still claims has no influence on world affairs.

While the mainstream press was busy obsessing about Weiner’s Weiner and claiming Bilderbergers were merely gathering to play golf and idly stroll through the mountains of St. Moritz, Bilderberg members themselves were busy forming the consensus on the big issues, namely Iraq.
As we first reported last month, in looking to exploit some form of “squatter’s rights” in Iraq, the US “has no intentions of ever leaving Iraq,” according to leaked information from moles inside the conference which has proven routinely accurate in the past.
“When you think of Iraq, think big,” one US Bilderberger remarked during the discussion, suggesting that the country will merely be used as a launch pad for a wider regional war that will “include every nation in the Middle East except for Israel.”

We reported these leaks more than two weeks before the Obama administration announced its intention to scrap the withdrawal plan which mandated that the US presence end on December 31.
This is yet another example of how the consensus that is set at the annual Bilderberg meetings has an almost immediate impact on world affairs, just as it has many times in the past, notably when Bilderbergers agreed that the initial invasion of Iraq was to be delayed until 2003 when most observers had fully expected it to take place in the autumn of 2002.

Barack Obama swept to power on the promise that he would “immediately” withdraw troops from Iraq.
In reality, even before the August 2010 “withdrawal” of U.S. troops, the New York Times reported that, “Mr. Obama plans to leave behind a “residual force” of tens of thousands of troops to continue training Iraqi security forces, hunt down foreign terrorist cells and guard American institutions.”
When the supposed August 2010 “withdrawal” was announced, a senior military officer spelled it out more plainly to the Los Angeles Times, “‘When President Obama said we were going to get out within 16 months, some people heard, ‘get out,’ and everyone’s gone. But that is not going to happen,’ the officer said.”

While telling the American people one thing publicly, the Obama administration has fallen in line with the carefully contrived consensus of the global elite in ensuring the U.S. occupation of Iraq becomes a permanent fixture for many years and even decades to come.

Plastic explosives under the skin might not be detected by existing methods such as body scans

The US has warned airlines of a potential threat from militants surgically implanting explosives.

It came after the Department of Homeland Security issued a memo to security officials and foreign counterparts alerting them to the threat of "body packing".

No specific plot has been identified but an anonymous official said new intelligence highlighted the threat.

Air passengers could now face even tougher screening measures.

In a statement, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said that due to "significant advances in global aviation security in recent years, terrorist groups have repeatedly and publicly indicated interest in pursuing ways to further conceal explosives.

"As a precaution, passengers flying from international locations to US destinations may notice additional security measures in place.

"These measures are designed to be unpredictable, so passengers should not expect to see the same activity at every international airport.

"Measures may include interaction with passengers, in addition to the use of other screening methods such as pat-downs and the use of enhanced tools and technologies."

Existing airport screening methods cannot detect plastic explosives under the skin, TSA spokesman Nicholas Kimball told the Los Angeles Times.

'Implausible'

The memo sent to security officials was obtained by the Associated Press, which quoted it as saying that "body packing" was a "criminal tactic with possible terrorist application".

Some militant organisations seeking to mount an attack on aviation have used increasingly creative methods in their efforts to evade detection in recent years.

Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) has been linked to the attempt by a Nigerian man to bring down a plane over Detroit using a bomb concealed in his underpants in 2009.

The group was also thought to be behind an attempt in 2010 to bomb cargo planes using printer cartridges sent by post.

But experts are divided over the feasibility of mounting an attack using implanted explosives.

Chris Ronay, a former chief of the FBI explosives unit, told AP it would be "rather easy" once a willing would-be suicide bomber was found, the explosives secured and the bomb made.

Dr John Clifford Jones, an explosives expert at the University of Aberdeen, said the quantity of explosives that could be surgically implanted would not be enough to blow up a plane but might be enough to break open the fuselage.

"Energy to initiate the action of the explosive, making it detonate," he told the BBC, "could be provided by something incorporating a 9-volt battery," which the bomber might have to carry along with them, disguised as something like a mobile phone.

"Yet my intuition is that, all things considered, concealment followed by 'successful' operation of the device seems quite implausible."
